Hi ya Jan

Well done you created the file. It exists you jst gotta find it now. You are looking for a file called default.htm in the folder that you chose to save your activity to.

You will have specified where you wanted to save at the start of opening ARED. Try opening ARED again and 'choose edit existing'. does ARED go back to your last folder?

May I suggest you look in My Documents or even your desktop.

Look for the following

Folders called 'Media' and 'Scripts'
A file called 'default' this is the one to click on.

Don't worry I saw you work to date. Very good. Let me know how you go.

Steven.
I have downloaded Flash, I created a word doc to save to.
Created ARED project (labelling diagram), published .... looking good, up came the finshed product...yipee, Closed so as to try and retrieve from file. WHERE IS IT????? 1hour later don't know where to find my project. I want to scream, I'm over wasting my time particularly when this is supposed to be my holidays. PLEASE HELP.
I leave wednesday for a week of return to industry, trying to complete before I go. Looks unrealistic now!
I'm sure the solution is basic, but as I have said from the beginning I felt I did not have enough understanding of Basics to be a mentor, now I feel obviously my skills are less than basic.
CURLS
CURLS is an open source social bookmarking application offering similar functionality to the popular website del.icio.us. It has been modified to suit
the needs of teachers and students. The current beta release has been integrated with the NSW DET Portal login for seamless access within the department and through the NSW DET Portal at home.
CURLS allows three colour-coded security settings for bookmarks. Public bookmarks are available to everyone, “shared with watchlist” will be made available only to NSW DET Portal registered users, while private bookmarks
are available only to the registered user. By exporting RSS feeds, CURLS enables public bookmark tracking. In addition users can view public listings and add bookmark selections to their own collection. These selections are called ‘tags’.
Tags are presented as ‘clouds’ to make it visually easy to locate the most popular ones. Both tags and bookmarks are easily sortable, and it’s possible
to view bookmarks with multiple tags.
The next step in social bookmarking to manage teaching and learning links is available now at http://curls.cli.det.nsw.edu.au.

www.demo.skillsbook.com.au
This is a Skillsbook training site and allows you practice without incurring the reporting fee of $41/person. Most of the functions of the full skills book work on this site.
Have a play before Thursday if you can.

www.skillsbook.com.au
The free site (has limited functions) which includes the capacity to self assess against any occupation or training package. A limited individual report is provided and an e portfolio space is provided.
If your students or staff use this site their data can be transferred to the Illawarra Skillsbook site for full individual reporting and group analysis (at a cost)
Have a play before Thursday if you can.

www.illawarra.skillsbook.com.au
The TAFENSW – Illawarra Site to which we subscribe. This site provides the full functionality of Skillsbook but full individual or group reports are billed at $41/each.
In order for a user to access this site they have to be registered by the Authorised Account Holders or Consultants. These are staff who are approved to set up “Users”.
To have some control over who uses the full functions of Skillsbook (and who pays) only a few staff will be classified as Authorised Account Holders or Consultants, this list will begin with me.

On the Illawarra.skillsbook site rather than assess against a full training package or qualification profiles can be set up which allows allows any combination of competencies to be grouped together.
Already we have set up profiles for the following:
- TAFE 21C (42 staff competencies)
- Innovation Profiles

- We are presently investigating setting up profiles for Head Teacher capability, leadership capability, the Entrepreneur Development Program, Teaching and Learning Managers , Business Unit Managers and Business Development Consultants

After scoping we’ll be going with info path 2007 and sharepoint 2007 for forms creation and managing workflows but are waiting on some technical issues with Sharepoint server 2007 to be resolved.

As usual am cynical about MS performance so plan B is to use Zoho Creator the web 2.0 equivalent of infopath forms which enables scripting for implementing workflows. I have added an example to http://www.iiwiki.edu.au/Apply+for+an+iiWiki and will send you share invite.

Zoho Creator, version 3.0 is to come out shortly see http://forums.zoho.com/viewtopic.php?p=224693 which will provide some finer look and feel control to incorporate as part of the overall design.

Hi Alex check out Jo Kay's del.icio.us tagging of wikispaces at http://www.swsi.wikispaces.net/Register

We'll also be tagging all the wiki's we created within this scheme. See http://www.iiwiki.edu.au/Institute+iiWiki%27s#toc8

All this sharing is fantastic. I've added the RSS feeds of a few TAFE wiki spaces to this page: http://www.nciwiki.com.au/NCIWikis...

Are there any more that you know of?

Cheers,
